May Maia's most propitious 6

Succeſs, that crowns the daring deed:

To form the close and dark design,
Whether th' ambiguous tale thou lov'ſt to weave,

Or bid'st e'en truth itself deceive,
Diſplay'd in all the dazzling blaze of light;

The pow'rs of seeresy are thine.
Then ſhall this penſive female train

No more the melancholy strain,
Tuned to the voice of anguiſh, pour,

And Hermes, Maia's child, lend hand to save,
Willing the right, and guide
Our state with Fortune's breeze adown the favouring tide.

Deinde αυδάν, vera scriptura, super vitiosum utav adscripta erat, et propterea alieno loco inserta est. Accesserunt alii errores.
