φεύγων τόδ' ... οὐδ᾽ ἐφέστιον ἄλλῃ: φεύγων τόδ' M. G. Rob. φεύγοιντο δ᾽ Ald. Hinc φεύγειν τόδ' ο Turnebo illatum. Deinde οὐδ᾽ ἐφέστιον ἄλλην Μ. G. Ald. Rob. A Turnebo profectum οὐδ᾽ ἐφ᾽ ἐστίαν ἄλλην. Ε vetere scriptura restituendum erat οὐδ᾽ ἐφέστιον ἄλλῃ.

Von dem ewigen Feuer im delphischen Tempel spricht Plut. Num. c. 9 τῆς Ἑλλάδος ὅπου πῦρ ἄσβεστόν ἐστιν, ὡς Πυθοῖ καὶ ᾿Αθή νησιν, οὐ παρθένοι, γυναίκες δὲ πεπαυμέναι γάμων ἔχουσι τὴν ἐπιμέλειαν, Mor. p. 385 οἷον ἐπὶ τοῦ πυρὸς τοῦ ἀθανάτου, τὸ καίεσθαι μόνον αὐτόθι τῶν ξύλων ἐλάτην. Also nicht τὸ ἐν Παρνασσῷ (vgl. zu Eum. 24 ), wie der Schol. meint. Denn dieses nächtliche Leuchten kann nicht als φέγγος ἄφθιτον bezeichnet werden.
