Schol. ἀκολούθως τῷ κύ ματι καὶ τὸ κατακλυσθῆναι ἐπή- νεγκεν. Vgl. zu 2. μάλιστα ist mit ἤρυξε zu verbinden: nächst den Göttern hat zumeist Eteokles die Stadt gerettet". Aber và µá- λιστα schleppt nach, weshalb L. Dindorf die Symmetrie der beiden Halbchorpartien dadurch herstellt, daß er κύματι φωτῶν κατακλυσθῆν zum abschließenden Parömiakos macht. Diese Infinitivform ist für den Gebrauch des Äschylos durch χριμφθῆν Hik. 798 verbürgt.
