Notes on the current edition

Agamemnon

1. Ces mots ne peuvent guère s'adresser qu'à Apollon (cf. 1087). Il ne serait pas dans le caractère de Cassandre d'adresser à Agamemnon une plainte ou un reproche : le dieu seul a tout fait (cf. 1275-76).
2. Itys était fils de Procné ; il fut tué par sa mère, et celle-ci, changée en rossignol, pleure éternellement sur lui. Cf. Suppl. 60, note.

Kommos, welcher die Vorgänge im Innern des Hauses gewissermafsen auf die Bühne verlegt, bestehend aus drei Teilen. Im ersten Teile (1056-1100), welcher die Vorbereitung der blutigen That beschreibt, spricht der Chor (d. i. Chorführer) nur in Trimetern, während die Partieen der Kasandra melisch sind. Kasandra steigt jetzt vom Wagen. Über d ᾶ zu Eum. 844. -
