ἴτε μάν, nun aber ziehet hin", vgl. ἄνα γε μάν Cho. 961. ἀστυάνακτας πολιούχους τε καὶ οι κτἑ., die Götter der Stadt, der Burg und des Landes. Vgl. Ag. 88 πάντων δὲ θεῶν τῶν ἀστυνόμων, ὑπάτων χθονίων, τῶν τε θυραίων τῶν τ᾿ ἀγοραίων. γαναέντες (in der Handschrift γανάεντες), „feiernd". Diese Form setzt eine unbekannte Form γανάημι voraus. Vgl. δαέντες, ἀέντες. Pauw hat dafür γανάοντες gesetzt. Bei Homer finden sich die Formen γανόωντες ( γανάοντες), γανόωσαι ( γανάουσαι) im Sinne von glänzend, prangend. Hesych. bietet γανεῖν· λευκαίνειν und γανάσσαι· σμῆξαι, ἡδῦναι. Die Maskulinform kann stehen, weil auch Männer im Zuge sind, Danaos und seine Leib- wache.
