aetas : Octavianus was now twenty years old, an age at which no person could regularly hold the imperium. 252.6

ejus nominis , that title ( imperator). This, though connected with the imperium, was not conferred with that power, but followed some important success in the field, being given by acclamation of the soldiers. 252.9
