Isaiah

1. 21. ‘hath begotten’: lit. ‘hath borne me these,’ but verb is masc.
2. 24. For ‘righteous,’ some (with Pesh. Vulg.) would read ‘terrible,’ as in ver. 25.
3. 2. ‘utterly shortened,’ Heb. repeats verb. ‘1 will dry up ": or. ‘1 dry up...I make, (3) I clothe.’ Some render, ‘ I can dry up,’ c.
4. 8. i.e. ‘sheweth me righteous.’ ‘the master,’ c. meaning apparently, ‘ mine adversary.
