Notes on the current edition

Geography

1. “New City.”
2. The translation conforms with a slight emendation of the Greek text. The MSS. make Strabo say that “Arsaces . . . was captured and slain by the sons of Pharnaces”.
3. i.e., as well as Zela and Megalopolis.
