Le cas eſt dans les noms & dans les verbes. On appelle cas, ou chûte, dans les noms ce qui marque la ſuite ou le raport, comme cela eſt d'un tel, cela eſt à un tel, ainſi des autres. Et ce qui marque le nombre, comme l'homme, les hommes, ce qui eſt auſſi commun aux verbes; mais on appelle cas, dans les verbes les differentes inflexions ſelon le ton & le geſte, comme quand on interroge ou que l'on commande, car eſt-il parti? ou partez, ſont des cas du verbe ſelon ces differentes eſpeces.
