Poetics

1. Sophocles wrote two Tragedies of this name, neither of them preserved.-The story of Tyro leads us to suppose, that Aristotle means the little boat, trough, or, as some render it, cradle, in which Tyro had exposed her children, on, or near, the river: the particular manner of the discovery, it would be in vain to guess.
