γονίας: Schol. ἄνεμος ὅταν ἐξ εὐδίας κινηθῇ χαλεπὸν πνεῦμα, Hesych. γονίας· εὐχερής. Αἰσχύλος ᾿Αγαμέμνονι (irrtümlich für Χοηφό ροις). Videtur γονίας ventus dici secundo flamine spirans (Hermann). Das Wort ist nicht weiter bekannt. Die Endung ías eignet sich für die Bezeichnung des Windes, vgl. Ελλησποντίης, Στρυμονίης (bei Herodot), Καικίας, auch ὀρνιθίας Aristoph. Ach. 877. Hartung vermutet πνοιᾶς φονίας. ἐτελέσθη, weil der Sturm eben vorüber ist.
