Kommos bestehend aus drei Strophenpaaren. Die Chorpartieen bestehen immer aus drei Teilen, von welchen den ersten die drei στοίχοι (jeder στοίχος ein Strophenpaar), den zweiten der Koryphaios, den dritten der Gesamtchor vorzutragen scheint. Den Inhalt bildet die verschiedene Auffassung und die sittliche Motivierung des Rachewerks sowie die Anklage der Klytämestra. τίς ἂν Μοίρα: zu 627.

ὕμνον, nämlich das folgende Ephymnion. Aschylos macht so öfters das Ephymnion bei der Wiederholung abhängig, Cho.969 von θρευμένους, Suppl. 181 von καλούμενος. ἐπεύχεται: Subjekt ist δαίμων. Nach diesem Worte fehlt ein lambus, wenn es nicht 1455, wie Lachmann vermutet hat, ἀπέφθιτο für ἀπέφθισεν βίον geheissen hat.

τριπάχυντον, dreifach d. i. reichlich gemästet. Vgl. τριγέρων Cho. 313 , τρίπαλτος Sept. 976 . Die Beziehung auf die drei Generationen, welche der Alastor heimsuchte, Cho. 1063 ff. , würde hier an und für sich unklar sein und kann nicht gelten, weil Klyt. nicht an die That des Orestes und ihre eigene Ermordung denken kann.
