Anhang. Un- zweifelhaft ist nur, daſs an die Vernichtung des Landheers ( Αν- τιστρ. γ΄) hier nun auch die der Flotte angereiht wird; daſs der volltönende A-Laut am Schlusse mit Absichtlichkeit gehäuft ist (vgl. 539 f.); dafs τρίσκαλμοι (376) νᾶες = τριήρεις, und νᾶες ἄναες ein Ausdruck ist wie ἄχαρις χάρις (Prom. 545 u. a.), νόμος ἄνομος (Ag. 1142), ἄπολις πόλις (Eum. 547), παῖδες ἄπαιδες (Eum. 1033). Infolge des Opfers der Atossa und der Anrufung des Chores er- scheint das εἴδωλον Δαρείου aus der Unterwelt herauf an seinem Grabe. Vgl. S. 36. Erst jetzt wird Dareios sichtbar, wie das Schweigen des Chors im Vorhergehenden und dessen nunmehriges Verhalten be- weist. Er wendet sich zuerst an den vor ihm stehenden Chor (Atossa steht auf der Seite).
