1185. mvp-comment-760-1 'When shall be the end, and what the number of the restless years of exile?' ἐς πότε λήξει is rather an amplification than a parenthesis. The simpler expression would be either τίς νέατος ἔσται ἀριθμός, or, ἐς πότε λήξει ὁ ἀριθμός. But νέατος is already redundant, and this gives rise to the further expansion. πολυπλάγκτων is put by hypallage or condensation for τοῦ ἐμὲ πολλὰ πλαγχθῆναι, sc. ἀπ᾿ οἴκου.
