Notes on the current edition

Saturae

1. GU give this line in two places, here and after line 11. The reading is uncertain. Owen reads lita for tibi, taken from circumlita in Ψ.
2. scelerare P Büch.: celebrare Ψ ( fortasse melius Housman).
3. numera Ψ: numeras P.
4. For ne hic (P Ψ) Housman conjectured nunc.
5. tum est his. So Housman instead of the tunc est of PA.
6. After 9.118 PA; after 9.123 Ψ.
7. Ψ omits. After line 134, P has this line, being mainly a repetition of that line. Housman conjectures an omission of five words, and reads the lines thus: altera maior spes superest; turbae, properat quae crescere, molli gratus eris, tu tantum erucis imprime dentom.
