Ab Urbe Condita With An English Translation, books 1-10, 21-45, with periochae 11-20

1. No reason for this action on the part of the Ligurians is known, nor is it clear what relation to the Romans or to Marcellus they desired to obtain. Marcellus was himself uncertain about both questions, and I have tried to be equally non-committal in the translation.
