1. conspergitur S2 et R aliquot, edd. ante Lundstrōm. a Georg. II. 250. Palladius (I. 5. 3) also considers this a test of fat soil; but Pliny (XVII. 27) remarks that stickiness is not a true test of fat soil, for potter's clay has the same quality.
