(AB) Πλειάδες (A, -ας B): εἴρη〈ν〉ται ἀπὸ Πληιόνης θυγατρὸς μὲν Ὠκεανοῦ, γυναικὸς δὲ Ἄτλαντος. λέγει δὲ Πίνδαρος (fg 74a Schr.) περὶ τοῦ καταστερισμοῦ (A, καταστερισμένου B) αὐτῶν, [ὡς del. Et. M.] ὅτι τῆς (τ. A, om. B) Πληιόνης πορευομένης μετὰ τῶν αὐτῆς (αὐτ. B, om. A) θυγατρῶν κατὰ τὴν (τὴν B, om. A) Βοιωτίαν συναντῆσαι αὐτῇ Ὠρίωνα. εἶτα ἐρασθεὶς (Et. M., -έντος AB) ὥρμησε πρὸς τὸ ἁρπάσαι, τὴν δὲ φεύγουσαν μετὰ τῶν θυγατρῶν ἐδίωκεν Ὠρίων, γενέσθαι δὲ αὐτῶν τὸν δρόμον ε' ἔτη (A, ἔτη πέντε B) ἀδιάλειπτον. τὸν δὲ Δία (A. Et. M., om.
