1. 10 Et. M. 368, 45 s. v. ἐπωμαδόν versibus I 738—741 laudatis pergit: (ἤιε:) εἵπετο καὶ ἀπήει (haec post κρουούσῃ leguntur, transp. W). (δὶς τόσση . . . πέτρη:) διπλασίων ἠκολούθει τῇ Ἀμφίονος κιθάρᾳ κρουούσῃ τῆς βασταζομένης ὑπὸ Ζήθου. Ζῆθος γὰρ καὶ Ἀμφίων ἐτείχισαν τὰς Θήβας. Ἀπολλώνιος Ἀργοναυτικοῖς.
2. 10 Etymologicum Magnum 368, 45 s.v. ἐπωμαδόν, after quoting lines I 738–741, continues: (ἤιε:) he followed and departed (these words are read after κρουούσῃ, transposed by W). (δὶς τόσση . . . πέτρη:) twice as large followed the lyre of Amphion as it was struck, compared to the one carried by Zethus. For Zethus and Amphion built the walls of Thebes. Apollonius in the Argonautica.
