Outlines of Pyrrhonism

1. The τί, here substituted for οὐ, is capable of meaning either ‟what” (or ‟in what respect”) or ‟why,” ‟for what cause or reason” (= διὰ τί). Thus τί gives an interrogative form (πύσμα) to the formula, as distinct from the affirmative form (ἀξίωμα) with οὐ.
