5. ¹ Diosc. 2. 112 mentions a kind called by the Romans ἀρμοράκιον. Plin. 19. 82 has armoracia and says that this was called armon in Pontus; Sch. suggests that the latter name may have given rise to both armoracia and ἀμωρέα.
