εἰδότας καὶ γιγνώσκοντας, scil. πράττοντας. Instead of saying ἔστι γίνεσθαι τὴν πρᾶξιν ὑπ᾽ εἰδότων καὶ γιγνωσκόντων, Aristotle introduces the qualification in the clause with ὥσπερ, which thus becomes a substantive part of the statement (comp. 11, 1452 a 23; 18, 1456 a 27; 21, 1457 b 24). γιγνώσκοντας: Rhet. 2. 1, 1378 a 14
ἐνδέχεται μὴ τὰ βέλτιστα συμβουλεύειν γιγνώσκοντας.
— Demosth. 10. 17
