Ξέρξης κτλ. (und 469, 503, 509, vgl. 251, 352, 501, 519), malerische Arrhythmie, West- phal2 II S. 482, A.** Die Menge der o trägt mit dazu bei, dafs das Einzelne gewichtig ins Ohr fällt. Von wo aus er das ganze Heer sehen konnte. εὐαγῆ hell für das Sehen ( εὔοπτος, Hesych.), wie Hippokr. san. vict. rat. II 11: οἱ ὄρθριοι περίπατοι τὰ περὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν κουφά τε καὶ εὐαγέα καὶ εὐήκοα παρασκευάζουσι. Bei Plat. legg. XII p. 952 A. steht εὐαγέστε- ρος im Gegensatz zu σκοτωδέστερος und ἀσαφής. Ähnlich bei lat. Dich- tern caecus und surdus aktivisch und passivisch. ὄχθον, Herod. VIII 90: κατήμενος (Xerxes) ὑπὸ τῷ οὔρεϊ τῷ ἀντίον Σαλαμίνος, τὸ καλέεται Αἰγάλεως (Realenc. 2 I. S. 225 f. mit Anm.). Sein δίφρος ἀργυρόπους fiel den Hellenen in die Hände und befand sich auf der Akropolis von Athen unter den ἀριστεῖα τῆς πόλεως (Demosth. XXIV 129). ἀνακωκύσας . αγγείλας ἵησι, 542 ff. 825f. vgl. zu Ar. nub. 937. Kr. II 56, 15. Α. 2. – παραγγείλας technisch von dem augenblicklichen Kommando von Mund zu Munde (Heimsoeth, ind. Überl. S. 42). Der Inhalt des- selben ergiebt sich aus dem Zu- παρ- sammenhange. ἵησι intransitiv wie ἵεμεν Eur. Rhes. 291. ἄφαρ homerisch. Daſs Xerxes selbst auch die Flucht ergriff, ist nur indirekt angedeutet. Übrigens Herod. VIII 113: οἱ ἀμφὶ Ξέρξην ἐπισχόντες ὀλίγας ἡμέρας μετὰ τὴν ναυμαχίην ἐξήλαυνον εἰς Βοιωτούς.
