Against Aristogiton

1. The shrine of Artemis at Brauron in Attica was supposed to contain the image of the goddess brought from the Tauri by Iphigenia. There was also a temple of Artemis Brauronia, called τὸ ἱερὸν κυνηγέσιον, on the Acropolis ( cf. arg. ad Demosthenem 25.; Paus. 1.23.7 ).
