οὔτε πολιὸν πέλαγος ἔστιν ὅ τι δέξεται

Chorus
Singing.

Io! io! forward to the attack, throw yourselves upon the foe, 345 spill his blood; take to your wings and surround them on all sides. Woe to them! let us get to work with our beaks, let us devour them. 350 Nothing can save them from our wrath, neither the mountain forests, nor the clouds that float in the sky, nor the foaming deep.

Chorus: Strike, press, bring on the enemy!

Chorus: a murderous rush, and wings everywhere

345

Chorus: Step forward and circle around!

Chorus: as one ought to wail in unison for these things

Chorus: and to give a belch of fodder.

Chorus: for there is neither a shady mountain nor a cloud in the sky

Chorus: nor is there a gray sea that will receive it.

350

Chorus: having escaped this, me.
