[65] ὅπερ γὰρ ἐκ φιλοσοφίας τῆς δοκιμωτάτης περιγίνεται τοῖς ὁμιληταῖς αὐτῆς, τοῦτο διὰ νόμων καὶ ἐθῶν Ἰουδαίοις, ἐπιστήμη τοῦ ἀνωτάτω καὶ πρεσβυτάτου πάντων αἰτίου, τὸν
ἐπὶ τοῖς γενητοῖς θεοῖς πλάνον ἀπωσαμένοις· γενητὸς γὰρ οὐδεὶς ἀληθείᾳ θεός, ἀλλὰ δόξῃ μόνον, τὸ ἀναγκαιότατον ἀφῃρημένος, ἀιδιότητα.“
