1. Perhaps so called from a mountain in Aeolis (region (general)), Turkey, Asia Aeolis , Phricion, near which the Aeolians had been settled before their migration to Asia (continent) Asia .
2. These places lie between Smyrna [27.1667,38.4167] (Perseus) Smyrna and Bergama [27.166,39.133] (inhabited place), Izmir Ili, Ege kiyilari, Turkey, Asia Pergamum , on or near the coast. But Aegiroessa has not been exactly identified.
