ἀλκασμάτων might signify violent attacks,' since
ἀλκάζειν· μάχεσθαι appears in Etym. M. p. 56, 10; 66, 10. But
λακασμάτων (cr. n.), ‘howlings,' would be much more to the point. For the gen. (=
