I know he will upbraid me for this weakness.
But 'tis my nature, and I must consent,
Since Philoctetes asks it. Stay you with him.

Cp. supr. 607, and note. οἴκτου] Cp. O.C. 1636, οὐκ οἴκτου μέτα. πλέως is used in reproachful phrases, e.g. Aesch. Prom. 696, πρό γε στενάζεις καὶ φόβου πλέα τις εἶ.
