877. mvp-comment-569-1 ἀφ᾿ ἡλίου βολῶν] ‘Towards the sunrise;' according to the Greek idiom by which the point of sight is taken as a point of departure. Cp. Hdt. 1. 84, πρὸς τοῦ Τμώλου τετραμμένον, and see L. and S. s. ν. πρός, A. I. 2.

878. mvp-comment-570-1 κέλευθον is accusative of the sphere of motion, Essay on L. § 16. p. 23 c, some such word as ἰοῦσιν being suggested by the context. δηλοῖ] Sc. τὸ ἐρευνώμενον. ‘Reveals the hidden truth by being found.' Ll. 866-878, which are recited before the Chorus have taken their places, are not antistrophic. Ll. 878-914, 925-960, are antistrophic according to the following scheme...
