1117-1118. mvp-comment-786-1 μὴ τοσοῦτον .. δύσοργος] i. e. ὡς μὴ τοσοῦτον δάκνῃ θυμῷ δύσοργος, That you be not so exceedingly vexed with rage, being grievously distempered.' θυμῷ is to be joined both with δάκνῃ and with δύσοργος. For the postponement of ὡς, cp. Αj. 589, 90, ἐγὼ θεοῖς | ὡς οὐδὲν ἀρκεῖν εἴμ᾽ ὀφειλέτης ἔτι. μή adheres closely to τοσοῦτον. Others, reading δάκνει, suppose an alternation of clauses = μὴ τοσοῦτον δύσοργος, ὡς δάκνει θυμῷ, “In a less wrathful mood, than now you are devoured with in your soul.'

1118-1119. mvp-comment-787-1 Else you will not know in what you would fain rejoice, and wherein you are indignant without cause.
