Notes on the current edition

Ἀίτια Ῥωμαϊκά

1. τοὺς added by F.C.B.
2. τῶν δ’ ἀρχόντων seems to be required by the context. Meziriacus wrote τῶν δ’ ἀρχῶν and one ms. has τῶν δὲ δημοσίων.
3. ἀσεβεῖν Xylander: εὐσεβεῖν.
4. ἢ] οἱ all mss. but one.
5. δεινῶν] ἀηδῶν in both Hippocrates and Lucian, cited in note c on page 169.
