Notes on the current edition

Γυναικῶν ἀρεταί

1. ὕβρις] υἱέος ὕβρις S. A. Naber, wrongly, as is clear from Plutarch’s Life of Publicola, chap. i.
2. μένει] μενεῖ G. Papavassiliu, wrongly, as is clear from Plutarch’s Life of Publicola, chap. xviii.
3. παρεβάλοντο] παρεβάλλοντο in some mss., perhaps rightly.
4. καὶ added by F.C.B., as seems to be demanded by the Life of Publicola, chap. xix., which puts ῥεῦμα and δίνας in the same construction.
