Notes on the current edition

Ἀποφθέγματα βασιλέων καὶ στρατηγῶν

1. ὀξυτέραν] ὀξυτάτην Blass.
2. Καφισίας, the reading of the mss. of other authors who mention him. Also the name of a sculptor is so spelled in an inscription: καφίσιος.
3. Πολυσπέρχων Xylander, from the Life of Pyrrhus, chap. viii. as well as other writers: πολυπέρχων or πολυσπέρχης.
